How does Avalon work?

Avalon connects to your mailbox and calendar, classifies each enabled thread by who owns the next move, and keeps that state visible in Flowboard. You can review summaries, approve drafts, prepare for meetings, and turn on rules when routine work is predictable.

Can Avalon send email without my approval?

No. Avalon can prepare drafts and suggest replies, but it cannot send an email without your explicit approval. There is no setting that allows Avalon to send email on its own.

Avalon includes regular email access, manual Flowboard items, manual due dates, and Pulse without a paid plan. Paid plans add Avalon AI, drafting, summaries, automation, meeting availability, and calendar help after the trial window.

How is Avalon different from Microsoft Copilot, Superhuman, or Zapier?

Copilot helps inside Microsoft surfaces, Superhuman is a fast email client, and Zapier connects apps through automation. Avalon focuses on mailbox responsibility: On You, On Them, Resolved, and No Action, plus approval-first AI drafts, rules, meeting briefs, and provider-visible workflow state.

What happens to my email content?

Avalon uses the context needed for the features you enable. Attachments stay out of AI calls unless a workflow requires them, protected data stays behind the unlock boundary, and approved AI or automation actions leave records so you can inspect what happened later.
